Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are currently in the midst of a divorce and custody battle. However, their case may have just taken a major turn in Pitt’s direction.

While the 52-year-old actor had previously been forced to endure limited visitation with his six kids, including Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Vivienne and Knox, 8, he may soon be allowed unsupervised visits.

“Now that Brad Pitt has been cleared of child abuse, he legally should be able to see the kids without a monitor,” family lawyer David Pisarra told Hollywood Life on November 14. “However, if he signed a stipulation with Angelina that requires him to have supervised visits, then so long as that stipulation is in place he will have to have a monitor. I would think that his lawyers protected him, so that once the DCFS case is closed he doesn’t need a monitor.”

Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie parted ways in September after the actor allegedly engaged in some sort of altercation with their oldest son, Maddox, and on September 19, Jolie filed for divorce. In Jolie’s divorce documents, the 41-year-old actress requested that she be given full physical custody of their children with Brad Pitt having visitation rights to the kids.

A case against Brad Pitt was launched shortly after Jolie filed for divorce but earlier this month, after weeks of rumors regarding what went down between Pitt and his son on their private plane, the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services cleared the actor of any and all charges of child abuse. That said, the Hollywood Life report claimed Brad Pitt was still being investigated by the FBI.

“Even though the FBI investigation is still ongoing, it should not impact Brad’s ability to have unmonitored visits with his children,” Pisarrra continued. “The DCFS’ job is to protect the children and the FBI is looking for federal level violations and those don’t generally involve intra-family parenting issues, unless there was a parental kidnapping, which is not present in this case. Now that the DCFS has cleared Brad of child abuse, it wouldn’t surprise me if the FBI makes a public announcement very soon that the investigation is closed.”

Brad Pitt was married to Jolie for just two years, but the actors were actually together for a total of 12 years, and during their relationship, they welcomed three children biologically and adopted three kids from other countries. The couple also purchased several properties.

As for the future of the FBI investigation against Brad Pitt, the family attorney claimed the organization might be announcing the close of his case sooner rather than later.

“The FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued,” Pisarra added.

Since Brad Pitt and his wife split up, he has been living at the Los Feliz home they once shared while Jolie and the children enjoy a new beach home in Malibu, California. Unfortunately, however, the kids are reportedly struggling to adjust to their new home. As a report by Hollywood Life revealed, Jolie has been having a hard time keeping her family happy after moving out of their family home in Los Angeles, where they have been growing up for the past several years.

“They are getting homesick. The children are sad, miss the huge house they grew up in, and have been complaining to Angelina that they want to go home,” the source explained.

According to the report, Brad Pitt’s older children, including Maddox and Pax, are not happy with their current situation while the younger kids, including twins Vivienne and Knox, are having trouble understanding why they are no longer living as a family with their father.
