(Green Township) An eight-year-old girl abducted from Green Township was found safe in Texas. Her non-custodial father is under arrest.
Officers said that they received a report Saturday afternoon about a girl who disappeared while playing outside near Drew Ave. There was a significant police response, including a search and rescue K-9.
Police also made “reverse-911” calls to houses in the area.
The mother received a telephone call from the missing daughter, who said that she was with her father. He is identified as Joseph Sulken, 28, of Fort Worth, Texas. The mother told officers that she had not seen Sulken in over a year. He has no custody rights, according to police.
Police in Haltom City, Texas located Sulken Saturday night. The girl was with him, and she was not harmed.
Officers said Sulken picked up the girl while she was playing outside in Green Township.
Sulken is held on a felony count of Interference with Custody. He is held in Texas pending extradition back to Ohio.
